Turkey Scouting

We took the opportunity to get away and scout for turkey.  Though it was really wet and rainy - we had an amazing time.

The forest was incredibly green and lush.  We have never seen as much grass as there was on the forest floor.  We were able to see deer, elk, blue jays, squirrels and the ever-elusive turkeys!! 
Brian was so stinking excited.  There were six we could see.  The challenge is - they were behind a fence that said "Property of Arizona Game and Fish".    He is going to be calling to find out what scoop is - can they hunt there?

We also found some really nice camp spots. 

Although the rain was beautiful and needed - I get sleepy!!  And I was supposed to be looking for turkey tracks!

We really needed the break, short as it was.  Last week was pretty tough - seems like we are being attacked from every side. 

But, God is good.  His creation is beautiful and Heaven is a day closer!!
